Burning Down the House

Last Saturday, I awoke to see that the alley between Pender and Hastings was blocked off. My initial thought of "Oh, they found a body" was dashed when I walked the dog down to Hawkes to see the burnt out house. What a shame. Such an old beauty. Gone now.

Some First Nation's woman in a wheel chair told me that it was fully blazing at 4 that morning. It would be nice to see it restored, but I'm not too hopeful. Condos mebbe?

Otherwise, crimewise, things have looked ugly, but I haven't really heard much of anything specific.
